User Conduct and Acceptable Use

Independent Completion: You will complete all learning and assessments yourself, without support or input from others.

Fair Participation: You will engage with the content honestly and complete the course fully and in good faith.

Certificate Meaning: Completion of the course earns you a certificate of participation. This is not a professional qualification or formal accreditation, and you may not represent it as such.

Responsible Learning: You will not share course materials or quiz answers with others.

Participating Organisations

For organisations asking their staff or volunteers to engage with the into the programme:

Staff and Volunteer Integrity: Registered organisations will ensure that individuals enrolled complete all course material independently and with integrity, adhering to the learner terms.

Appropriate Use: Participating organisations agree that access to the learning programme is solely for staff and volunteers who are part of their organisation, and not for broader commercial or institutional use.

Non-commercial Agreement: The organisation agrees not to use or promote the training for financial gain or as part of paid services.

No Misrepresentation: Participating organisations will not misrepresent the programme or certificates as formal qualifications or endorsements in recruitment, external communications, or professional documentation.

Internal Communication: The organisation will responsibly inform staff/volunteers about the expectations of the course, including the individual completion requirement and the ethical use of materials.

Reporting: Organizations may request that users enter an organization code when registering. They will provide the code to users and explain that it allows Charity Excellence Learning to report on course adoption at a non-individual level of granularity.

Learning Scope and Limitations. Organizations acknowledge that the training is not intended to replace professional, expert, or technical training.  It provides foundational awareness and guidance only.

Data Responsibility: Participating organisations must ensure that enrolment and participation comply with relevant data protection laws, particularly regarding the collection and sharing of learner information with the platform.

Respect for Access: Participating organisations acknowledge that free access is subject to availability and sustainability, and agree to use the programme respectfully and cooperatively.

Legal, Intellectual Property, and Data Use

Liability Disclaimer: By registering with the platform and participating in the programme, organisations and individual learners acknowledge that we bear no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or any other loss incurred in connection with the programme, including but not limited to their participation, content use, and certification.

Copyright & Intellectual Property: All course materials—including text, visuals, videos, and assessments—are the intellectual property of the programme provider or its partners and may not be reproduced, distributed, or repurposed without explicit prior written consent.

Data Sharing with Partners: Participating organisations and learners agree that anonymised and aggregated participation data may be shared with Microsoft for the purpose of monitoring engagement and assessing the impact of their charitable support. No personally identifiable information (PII)—including people’s names and email addresses required for registration—will be shared without further consent.

Personal Data Management: The platform adheres to applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR. Personal information collected for registration and learning analytics will be:
